How to view (and troubleshoot) Bridge Analytics in mobile

With Bridge, you’re able to view analytics on the go  - follow these steps to set up your device for the best possible mobile experience.  Bonus: feel free to share this resource with your learners using the downloadable link at the bottom of this article.

The reason for the need to change settings is that our reporting platform is powered by Google Looker. When logged into Bridge, users see the Analytics feature as a part of the global navigation. To access these dashboards seamlessly, Bridge requests redirects via the Looker application when a user clicks into Analytics; therefore, cross-site tracking must be allowed for users to navigate to those Analytics pages.

APP

Analytics can be viewed in the Bridge app (you will need to login to your account).

As a manager or admin, you can see only the Overview dashboard with access to over a dozen filtering options:

MOBILE BROWSER

If you are on a mobile device and receiving a 401 error, you will need to modify some settings on your device.

In either case, you will need to allow for cross-site tracking in your application settings (we highlight Safari and Chrome below as the most popular browsers).

SAFARI

Go to the Safari settings, and look for “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking.” The default for this will be for the toggle to be on. You need to move it to off.

CHROME

Go to the Chrome settings and look for “Allow Cross-Website Tracking.” The default for this will be for the toggle to be off. You need to move it to on.

Once loaded, if you are having any issues with viewing, you can collapse the filters to make the dashboards more accessible on the device.

Click on the triangle icon in the top right corner:

It can also be helpful to turn your device horizontal if you are seeing a white screen. This should help by exposing more area to view the dashboards.
