How do I add a personal goal using the Goals page as an employee?

You can add a personal goal to the Goals page. You can also align your goal to a team or company goal and display your goal on your timeline.

Add Goal

To add a personal goal, click on the ME option in the Global Navigation menu. Then click on Goals to be taken into the goals area. Then, click the Add Goal button.

Add Goal Details

Enter a goal title in the Title field [1], then add a due date using the Calendar menu [2]. To change the goal status, in the Status drop-down menu [3], update the status to Completed, On Track, Behind, or Not Started. The status can also be cleared completely if needed.

Add Subtask

To add a subtask, click the Add Task link.

Enter a task title in the Title field [1], then add a due date using the Calendar menu [2]. To delete a subtask, click the Delete icon [3].

Align Goal

Align to Company Goal

To align your goal to a team or company goal, click the Company Goal or Team Goal drop-down menu and select the title of the team or company goal. Aligning your personal goal to a team or company goal creates a hierarchy that may help you visualize how smaller goals contribute upward to what is most important.

Notes:

  • Your personal goal will become visible to your administrators and manager when it is aligned to a company goal.
  • You cannot align a personal goal that you have marked as private to team or company goals.

Show on Timeline

If you would like your personal goal to display on your timeline, click the Timeline toggle button [1]. To change who can view your goal, click the Viewable By drop-down menu and select the Only Me (Private) or Me and My Manager option [2]. You cannot align a personal goal that you have marked as private to team or company goals.

Add Notes

To add a note to your goal, start typing in the Notes field [1]. Your note is automatically saved. To add another note, click the Add Note link [2].

Save Goal

When you are finished adding the goal details, click the Create Goal button.
