How do I see a User’s Enrollment Source?

The enrollment source helps Authors and Admins understand how users are being enrolled in training. Currently, only Checkpoints support visible enrollment source tracking. While this article focuses specifically on Checkpoints, you can learn more about viewing enrollment sources across other areas of Bridge in this article: How do I know the enrollment source for an enrollment?

Note: Some features may be restricted based on permissions for your user role.

To view this, In the Global Navigation menu, click Author, then select Checkpoints. (Your Global Navigation menu may look slightly different depending on the features enabled in your account).

Next, open a Checkpoint and scroll down to the Learner Enrollment table to view enrollment details.

Below the user’s name, you’ll find their enrollment source.
Users can be enrolled into a Checkpoint via a Program, Journey, Group, or directly as an individual.

  • Group: A lightning bolt icon appears, along with the group name and a link to the group.
  • Program: A book icon displays with the program title and a link to the program.
  • Individual: An avatar icon and the label Individual appear when the user is enrolled directly—either by themselves or by another user. This links to the learner’s profile.
  • Journey: You’ll see the Journey icon and a link to the specific Journey, but the Journey name will not be displayed.

Note: If a user’s original enrollment source is lost, it will default to Individual.

We understand this can be one of the more confusing concepts for admins. It’s helpful to know that when we say an enrollment source is “lost,” it’s not necessarily a mistake — in fact, it can be a deliberate action to stop re-enrollment.

To help explain this further, we’ve got two supporting articles:

These articles break down what causes enrollment sources to change or disappear, and how this affects future re-enrollments.
