Empower Your Troubleshooting: Using User Masquerade and Subaccount Visit in the Mobile App

Admins, get ready to streamline your support and troubleshooting! The new User Masquerade and Subaccount Visit features in the Bridge mobile app provide a seamless way to view your learners' experiences directly from their perspective. Whether you need to visit a subaccount or see exactly what a user sees, these powerful tools are designed to help you provide quick and accurate support.

This guide will walk you through how to use both features, empowering you to resolve issues with confidence and efficiency.

How to Visit a Subaccount

Visiting a subaccount allows you to see the content and environment of a subaccount exactly as a user would.

  1. From the app's main screen, tap the Admin icon located in the top-right corner, next to the Settings icon.
  2. In the Admin menu, select Subaccounts.

     3. On the Subaccounts screen, you can either use the search bar or scroll through the              list to find the desired subaccount.

     4. Once you've located the subaccount, tap the eye icon next to its name.

         5. A confirmation sheet will appear. Tap Visit to proceed.

The app will load the selected subaccount environment. You’ll know you’re successfully visiting a subaccount when you see a subtle orange frame around the application screen. You can then browse the subaccount as a support user within that environment.

To end your visit, simply tap the Admin icon in the top-right corner and select Stop Visiting, or tap the Visiting button on the orange frame in the bottom-right corner. You’ll then be redirected back to your main admin account.

How to Masquerade as a User

Masquerading lets you step into a specific user's account to experience their individual learning journey, view their assigned courses, and troubleshoot any issues they might be experiencing.

  1. Tap the Admin icon in the top-right corner.
  2. In the Admin menu, select Users.
  3. On the Users screen, use the search bar to find the name of the user you need to masquerade as.
  4. When you've found the user, tap the eye icon next to their name.

       5. A confirmation sheet will appear. Tap Become to proceed.

The app will load the selected user's profile. You’ll know you’re successfully masquerading as a user when a red frame appears around the application screen. You can then browse their profile and see their personalized view.

To end your masquerading session, tap the Admin icon in the top-right corner and select Stop Masquerading, or tap the Masquerading button on the red frame in the bottom-right corner. The red frame will disappear, and you’ll be redirected to your admin account.
