Admins and Authors in Bridge can associate skill proficiency levels to learning content to create more targeted learning experiences.
By tagging courses, programs, and live trainings with both skills and their expected proficiency level, you can better align learning with career development and help learners discover content that's appropriate for their current skill level.
Who Can Assign Skills Proficiency Levels?
The following users can assign skill proficiency levels in Bridge:
- Admins
- Authors with permission to create or edit learning content
Supported Learning Objects
You can assign proficiency levels to skills associated with:
- Courses
- Programs
- Live Trainings
Each associated skill can be assigned its own proficiency level.
How to Tag Skill Proficiency Levels
- Go to Author and choose the Course, Program, or Live Training you want to edit.
- Navigate to Associated Skills.
- Add a new skill or edit an existing one.
- Select the appropriate Proficiency Level for the skill.
- Save your changes.
Each skill can be assigned one of your organization's configured proficiency levels, such as Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Expert.

Do I Have to Assign a Proficiency Level to Skills?
No. Skills can still be associated with learning content without a proficiency level. However, assigning proficiency levels provides additional context and enables more personalized learning recommendations.

Yes. Each associated skill can have its own proficiency level. For example, a course could include:
