Journey Due Date Settings
We have a 12-week onboarding program and would like to utilize Journeys. We want specific courses to be released weekly for 12 weeks. How can we set up the delivery date settings so that when a new employee starts, they are required to take 5 courses (in order/linear) their first week, then the second week another few courses are released in order, and so on? It seems the settings allow due dates and availability dates, but not necessarily release dates. Has anyone done this or know if it is possible?

Hey, Amy Canty ! You could do this a couple different ways. The first would be to put Programs or Journeys in Journeys with the sequence of content that you want to group together for each week. In this scenario, you are correct that the subsequent groups of content can't all be triggered by a release date, as your options are “available after X days” or a due date.
To get the specific release dates for each sequence, I'd recommend making them all separate Journeys where the first step is “available X days after enrollment into the Journey.” In this scenario, you'd have a different week for each Journey, and they would all align with their day of addition to the smart group that is affiliated with the Journeys and triggers enrollment behaviors.

Thank you for your response. Quick question, in both of these scenarios would I use non-linear journeys?
Thank you.
Hi Amy Canty ! It doesn't matter – if you want the content to be taken in order for each one, then linear. No enrollments happen until the learner gets there in a linear journey.
Another consideration you'd want to think about is appearance in the Learning Library for your learners, because non linear would show all elements, and linear will show just the next step (not the journey itself, but the elements).
