Waitlist / Capacity Monitoring for Teams and In Person

Shelly Sasse

Quick question: If I change the capacity of a live training session that has 30 registered and 30+ waitlisted back to “unlimited”, does that automatically enroll all of the waitlisted users into that session?

More context: Some of our more popular classes have to be restricted with a capacity so that we don't max out our room/chair space. But I don't want to deter people from registering because it says "session full" when that truly only applies to the physical room; I still want them to be able to register, receive a calendar invite with the details, and attend virtually. I don't want to have to create multiple sessions for virtual vs. in person, either (but maybe that's the only option?). Surely this must be possible - or maybe the functionality already exists and it's just user error? :) Right now I'm going back to all 60+ users via message and having them do a quick poll on whether they're attending in person or online, and was planning to raise the capacity accordingly.

Any ideas on more efficient ways to do this? :)

Following because we've had the same question - I've done polls in the past but would love to learn from others about any more efficient ways!

Also following.  We normally create 2 sessions for the same time and place (one in person and one virtual) and then we merge reports.  It would be easier to have a single session.

Hi all! We're actually going to cover this in this month's Ask Me Anything email - so be on the lookout for that. We'll also post that info in here too!

Hey, Shelly Sasse ! Yes, Bridge will automatically enroll the waitlisted learners into the session if you change the capacity back to unlimited. The learners will also get the registration confirmation notification. Note that it does one learner at a time on the backend, so depending on how many learners were on the waitlist, the enrollments can take a couple minutes.

And, at this time, Heidi Clark has the best workaround that I'd suggest, to have two sessions at the same time, one for live and the other for virtual. You can pull an Analytics Transcript report for both of the Live Trainings or use the Live Training widget in Overview to see the session level. If you'd like to join an Office Hours, we can help you get that sorted as far as reporting if needed.
