Edits to a Journey

Kelsey Rahe

When editing courses within a journey or making changes to a journey that is active- If I need to add a step to a journey for example, our plan was to select "publish to new learners" to avoid reverting any active enrollments. But the language that Bridge uses is publish changes- not notify of changes.

  • Does that mean that the new step doesn't publish to active enrollment's journeys? (Aka their journey remains unchanged, they don't have access to the new step)
    • In this scenario, does Bridge create a copy of the original Journey with published changes for "new learners"?
      • Or do participants appear within the same original journey? Active enrollments see the original journey steps, and new enrollments see the additional step
      • Beyond "masquerading" as an individual - how would we know who has the original steps, and who has the new step?
    • We need to understand what this means for analytics and for SmartGroups as well.
