How to Monitor Usage Metrics in Bridge Analytics

Usage Metrics provides a high-level view of how your organization is using Bridge. It helps administrators understand user activity, monitor platform adoption, and track learning engagement in Bridge Analytics.

This article explains each metric available within the Usage Metrics dashboard and how to interpret the results.

Who Can Access Usage Metrics in Bridge?

The Usage Metrics dashboard is available to:

  • Account Admins
  • Admins
  • IT Admins

Note: Managers and custom roles cannot access this page by default.

How to Access Usage Metrics

  1. Select Analytics from the navigation menu.
  2. Select Usage Metrics.

The dashboard loads with the default reporting period, which you can change using the available filters.

How to Filter Usage Metrics in Bridge Analytics

Apply filters to your dataset to display the information most relevant to your reporting.

Use the filters at the top of the dashboard to define the following parameters:

  • Date range
  • Account name (Root account or subaccounts)
  • Display terminated user enrolments

Tip: You can select one of the preset date ranges or define a custom reporting period. For long-term adoption reporting, compare the same period year over year rather than relying on short-term trends.

Understanding Usage Metrics Widgets

Monthly Unique Users (Seat Model)

The Monthly Unique Users chart shows you the number of individual users who logged in to Bridge during each calendar month.

Each user is counted only once per month, regardless of how many times they logged in.

This metric is particularly useful for:

  • Measuring license utilization
  • Understanding overall platform adoption
  • Monitoring monthly engagement

Tip: Hover over the graph to see more information.

Monthly Logins

Unlike the Monthly Unique Users widget, the Monthly Logins widget counts every login.

For example:

  • One user logging in ten times equals ten logins.
  • Ten different users logging in once also equals ten logins.

This metric helps identify overall platform activity and changes in login behavior.

Provisioned Users

The Provisioned Users widget displays the number of users with access to Bridge.

Use this data to track the number of users provisioned in Bridge and how many have been added and removed over time.

This metric is useful for:

  • Monitoring license usage
  • Understanding workforce growth
  • Identifying large onboarding or offboarding events

Note: provisioned users are not necessarily active users. A user may exist in Bridge without ever signing in.

Unique Users

The Unique Users chart provides additional insight into user adoption by displaying:

  • Unique users who logged in
  • Users logging into Bridge for the first time
  • Running totals across the selected reporting period

This widget is useful for identifying whether platform growth is coming from new users or returning learners.

Note: This chart is affected only by the selected date range and does not use the Account filter. To view data for a subaccount, you’ll need to access that subaccount directly.

Users Device Distribution

The Users Device Distribution widget shows the types of devices your users are accessing Bridge from. Use this information to understand whether learners primarily access your platform on desktop or mobile, helping you make informed decisions about content design and the overall learner experience.

Total Unique Users

The Total Unique Users widget displays the total number of unique users who logged in during the selected reporting period.

Each user is counted once, regardless of how many times they logged in.

Use this data to report overall user engagement over a specific time period.

Completed Learning Items

The Completed Learning Items widget displays the number of completed learning items during the selected reporting period.

Completion data includes learning items completed each month and helps you monitor learner engagement over time.

Use this report to:

  • Track completion trends
  • Measure training activity
  • Compare learning adoption across reporting periods

Other Data Points

You’ll also find an aggregation of enrollments for different learning types, giving you a quick overview of learning activity:

  • Total Course Enrollments
  • Total Checkpoint Enrollments
  • Total Live Training Enrollments
  • Total Program Enrollments

  3. Choose your preferred export format.

Best Practices for Using Usage Metrics in Bridge Analytics

To get the most value from Usage Metrics:

  • Review trends over longer reporting periods rather than individual months.
  • Compare year-over-year data where possible.
  • Monitor both provisioned users and active users to understand license utilization.
  • Track first-time logins to measure adoption during onboarding or platform rollouts.
  • Export reports regularly if you need historical comparisons outside of Bridge.
  • Combine Usage Metrics with learner completion and analytics reports to build a complete picture of engagement.
